I'm not sure why, but I have all the feels for these robots.
I have never read a book by this author. I actually had no idea this book even existed until a couple of people of Instagram were telling me how amazing and how much they loved it. So when I saw it at my library, I thought it was perfect and I would read it knowing nothing about the book.

This is another retelling of Pinocchio, very close to Spielberg movie AI.
In very near future, because there is no talk about technological enhancements beyond our day and old songs are dancing chick to chick and old books are Asimov, a robot adopts a boy and raises him as his own.
The boy fixes robots he finds in the scrap yard. One day he finds a handsome robot named HAP and fixes him with a wooden heart and everything changes.
The setting is so much like AI that I could not imagine Geo as anyone ...more
