3 stars. This was fine. I thought the writing was really good for a debut but nothing else outside of that impressed me. It’s not very scary though it tries and I didn’t like, care, nor connect with any of the characters. The plot had its moments where it was interesting and this was a really quick read but overall I was mainly bored with this unfortunately. I’ll keep an eye out for this author’s next book though.
Read for the #TransRightsReadathon! I really enjoyed this one!
This was so good! Queer haunted house horror! Also haunted houses as an allegory for colonialism??? I love that. So good.
