What Members Thought
I don't really understand the hype for this book. There were certainly glimmers of great writing (view spoiler)but I was never completely engaged and by the last third, the part that the whole book was building to, it was really a slog.

Oh man. I really hate not finishing books. This book is really interesting, but it's just not my kind of book. I really tried giving historical fiction a try, but I guess we just aren't compatible. I will finish this in the future, I cannot leave it on DNF. That's just cruel. I am not that mean.
