I didn't know what to think about Binti. Compared to the same author Nnedi Okorafor's elegant prose and fully developed characters in the Nsibidi Scripts series, Binti seemed to lack a lot of substance.
I usually like the surprise element in fiction, but this one didn't really seem to have a purpose. Things were a little too clean for my taste, for sci-fi/fantasy.
