A Little Life - sigh. I did notice that something was amiss with this book when reading the very first part of the very first sentence: "The eleventh apartment had only one closet, but it did have
a sliding glass door that opened onto a small balcony..." Come on editors of the world! How could you not have spotted the flawed logic: "It did have, but it did have..." And please tell me, where is the tension in this opening statement? What question is being asked that will make me continue to read?
