I own this book.
I want to make it very clear, this book is DARK. It's heavy, it deals with suicide, sexual assault, child abuse, neglect, trauma, PTSD, death, heavy addiction, self-harm, depression. Please check trigger warnings before reading this book.
I was first made aware of this book through Antoni Porowski from Queer Eye and added it to my TBR then, but I kept putting it off on account of the things I'd heard about its content. It follows four college friends: Jude, JB, Willem and Malc ...more

A Little Life - sigh. I did notice that something was amiss with this book when reading the very first part of the very first sentence: "The eleventh apartment had only one closet, but it did have
a sliding glass door that opened onto a small balcony..." Come on editors of the world! How could you not have spotted the flawed logic: "It did have, but it did have..." And please tell me, where is the tension in this opening statement? What question is being asked that will make me continue to read? ...more
