This was a great audiobook! Evelyn Hugo, famous actress from the 50’s, asks to be interviewed by Monique Hart. Her story leads us through her life and, by name of the book, her 7 marriages. All of the different topics brought up were so well done.
I loved the differing POVs and the snipers of news articles. The story flowed well and things moved well. I also want to be Evelyn Hugo when I’m in my 50’s; she’s a badass chick.

Wow! This was much better than I expected. It has been given such great reviews that I was leery of the hype, particularly about a Hollywood expose type story. A Hollywood legend tricks a little-known writer into agreeing to do an in-depth interview only to offer a full authorized biography instead. Monique, the writer, is sure there is a catch. I really wasn’t expecting this story to be about the subject it ended up being about (sorry, I don’t want to give any spoilers). Overall, it was an engrossing story and I enjoyed the up close glimpse into how Hollywood stars have been managed publicly. It’s also a book that paints intriguing pictures of different versions of love stories and relationships that really touch the heart.
