What Members Thought
I remember reading this my sophomore year of high school and falling in love with this story. While the racial injustice part of it might not have bee realized by my younger self, I loved the story about Scout and her family. I remember being transported to 1930's Maycomb Alabama. A seemingly incomprehensible time. How could people with dark skin be treated so cruelly? Now I know better, and know that police brutality and casual racism are still alive and well. This was just really boring. No one should have to go through reading this book. I only read it for English. :/ Sooooo boring gonna hate studying it.
I am so glad I waited until the age I am now to read this book! It was a beautiful story and so wonderfully written.
