I read this when I was a kid, but I hardly remembered a damn thing from it. When I picked it up I tried to remember what had happened, but all I could remember is that it was about racism. I'm glad I read it again, if only so now I know what it was about. I liked Atticus's line about how things like this happen all the time, and it seems like only children get upset. I thought it was I interesting how a lot of things went over Scout's head, and it made me wonder how much of this book I understoo

The took so long to read because I read it with my class. We pretty much read a chapter every other day which was painful. I decided to just finish ahead of the class because the book was pretty good.
I do not have much to say or review about this book, especially because it was a required book. I usually dislike books that we read in school, but To Kill a Mockingbird was a very nice read.

So in school I wasn't forced to read this, being forced to read of mice and men instead. I didn't mind that book and I actually like it better than this one.
I just found that the writing was too old for me to be bothered with it, was too stuck in the mud english and I wasn't interested in it as I thought I would be... I appreciate what she writes about, the racisim, sexism and all that is so so so important. And I want to praise the fact that she actually wrote it, a lot of authors miss it out ...more
