Jude is in exile until her sister Taryn comes to her with a request. It's a dangerous task and more dangerous as tension in the faerie court is building, but that isn't going to turn Jude away.

This is the shortest book in the series and despite raving reviews from everyone, I was skeptical. I didn't understand how such a wonderful series could be wrapped up in so few pages. I never should have doubted my friends nor Holly Black because she perfectly wrapped everything up. Everything was so well

3 stars. This is a series that I feel like is just too over hyped. While I will say that I thought that book two, The Wicked King was fantastic this one was just okay and didn’t follow through on the greatness of that book for me. It was a perfectly adequate ending, if not a little boring at times and I think it wrapped up entirely too neatly and a bit cheesy.

There’s something about Black’s writing that just doesn’t connect with me. She’s a great writer, don’t get me wrong but there’s something

Huge thanks to Allen & Unwin NZ for a copy of this book! I finally got to it, and not even long after release which I'm super happy about! I really think that we need a side book

Likes:
- The conclusion to the series! I really loved that ending, although I did see the premonition when she didn't say a certain thing she wanted to say
- The way Cardan did something sweet and caring without even thinking about it <3
- Cardan
- Jude still staying loyal to her friends
- Cardan
- The plot twists constantly

LISTEN: My theory was right about how Jude could've broken the curse and I am fucking happy I figured it out, even if Jude didn't because she was busy sulking.

Jude has been exiled from Faerie and is desperate to get back. She misses the games of Court, the fights, but worst of all she finds herself missing Cardan. When Taryn arrives in mortal peril, only Jude can save her by going back in her place. Jude jumps on the chance and off to Faerie we go.

War is brewing in the Court and Jude fin

I enjoyed this book. I think it was a fitting ending to the overall story of the series. I liked the way it ended. However, I do have some issues with the book. For one, it once again was a little predictable. I knew how things were going to turn out as soon as certain pieces of information were revealed. Also there wasn't as much between Jude and Cardan as the internet made me believe. Since there wasn't a lot in the previous book, I was expecting this book to have a lot more scenes that showed ...more

I absolutely devoured this book... I finished book 2 around 1am and told myself I would just read a bit of book 3 to see in what direction it would go in after that insane cliffhanger. Now here I am at 4am overwhelmed by how good this end to the series was and trying to reign in my thoughts as I have to be up for work in about 3 hours but for that I have to first go to sleep.

This book entertained me. I enjoyed the story and the character development and relationship. It did get a bit predictable at the end but I was too into it to care.
