Umm... this was entertaining but was also kind of all over the place.

Following the events of the first book, our three main characters feel like they have no direction anymore. So what do you do when you're stuck in a rut? Go on a road trip in a foreign country of course! Now I love road trip books - I mean, I just love road trips in general. So I was excited for their adventures. This is a fun ride through California and Arizona and the desert with Simon, Baz and Penny on a road trip.
Meant to get Simon out of the doldrums, they get a lot more excitement than they planned for as they meet magical creatures of all kinds and have to fight off vampires who seem to want something from them.
