The Elm Creek Quilters are looking for two new quilters to replace the soon-to-be-departed Summer and Judy. We are invited to get to know each of the quilters that are being interviewed and how they came to become quilters. As each go through the interview process for his or her own reasons, we come to understand that quilters come in all shapes and sizes (and genders). We also learn that, no matter how much you try, you cannot stop change from happening. An enjoyable read!

I love this book. I love the new characters introduced and their stories and how that led them to Elm Creek Quilts.
My favourite is Russ's story. Guy quilters are unusual....what would interest a guy in Quilting? Russ starts stitching after losing his wife, as a way to cope with the grief...he mostly teaches himself...as he finds prejudice trying to break into a 'womans world'...usually thats the other way round!!
A fascinating story, with interesting characters. ...more
