When Sylvia discovers that her late sister sold their mother's precious handmade quilts, she sets out to find them. The other Elm Creek quilters help her list the missing heirlooms on the internet and Sylvia and Andrew travel to several places to follow up promising leads. They also visit Andrew's son in California to tell him they are engaged. When both Andrew's son and daughter oppose the marriage, Andrew and Sylvia decide to marry, with or without his children present.

Loved it. This is second time I've read this book. It tells the story of Slyvias engagement to Andrew and unexpected family disapproval. Slyvia then decides to search for her mothers fancy Quilts, and we learn her mothers story, how she learnt to Quilt, especially The Crazy Quilt she made, and how she met Fred Bergstrom. Chiaverini weaves an excellent story.
