Ahh…where to begin? I have so many thoughts about this book.

This is a book that 14 year old me would love. It's beautifully descriptive, a magical realism that I usually love. But nowadays, I need some bitterness to be able to devour the sweetness. Even in a fantasy story, I need something real. Something bitter so I can appreciate the chocolate fondue. I'm not making any sense because it's late, but the bottom line is, this is a beautiful fantasy story, but sadly not very well told.
