Ove is the grumpy old man next door, with strict principles and a short fuse. As he misses his late wife, Ove has given up on life until a young family moves in next door and forces him out of his shell. This book is heartwarming. It's a beautiful story that reminds us that life is sweeter when it's shared. The characters are well developed and unforgettable, the style is witty and F. Backman gives us a fantastic read.

I started this book wondering why my sister recommended it to me and ended up loving it! I laughed out loud, cried and was swept along on the journey this grumpy old man is making...and who reminded me of my dad in his black & white beliefs. Enjoyed it immensely and look forward to reading others from this author.
