This is technically classified as young adult fiction, and I read it because of Caitlin's strong recommendation, but I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys emotive writing, strong characters, and detailed descriptions--in short, this is for anyone who enjoys reading. The themes of angst, alienation, and depression are ever-present, but it's not often that they're presented with such vivid detail, and they're never described derivatively.
