For some inane reason I have been boycotting this book most of my life. Despite LOVING other Vonnegut texts, I got it stuck in my head when I was a teenager that this was an anti-war treatise akin to The Red Badge of Courage, and, since I loathed The Red Badge of Courage, there was no way in hell that I would ever read it.
