Savage is the first book in S.L. Scott's The Kingwood Duet. Since it is a duet I will go ahead and warn you that I finished with tears streaming down my face and a breath I didn't realize I was holding. Good golly grief!!!!

This is the story of Alexander Kingwood and the love of his life Sara Jane. If ever in the world there are two opposites that attracted it is Sara Jane and Alexander. He is a complicated character that at times le I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the story of Alexander Kingwood and the love of his life Sara Jane. If ever in the world there are two opposites that attracted it is Sara Jane and Alexander. He is a complicated character that at times left me a little confused. He was born into a life he did not ask for and was not treated the best in the world by his father. Who I might add you are going to love to hate. He is not a nice guy. I don't think I found one redeeming quality about the guy throughout this book. Sara Jane though is pure of heart and from the moment Alexander met her he knew he had found the one. These two love so hard and I am telling you now it is a love that we all hope and pray we find.

I am so invested in this series. I am not going to lie it took me a little bit to get there as I think I was probably trying to read more into Alexander than there is. The story is told in present time with flashes into the past of Sara Jane and Alexander meeting and dating. It wasn't that it is bad I just felt like I should have known something that I didn't. So when you start reading if you feel this way too don't be discouraged and put the book down. Plow through and when it clicks it all falls into place. However you better hold on because it will take off and away you go into a world that you don't want to leave because you have no idea what is going to happen. To say that I need the next book, Savior, in this series right freaking now is a understatement. If you love books that keep you on your toes and have one life changing love story in them then you do not want to miss this book. Bravo S.L. Scott you have done an amazing job with this book. He's black, she's white. He's hot, she's cool. If they are each other second half. So many things try to keep them apart, I murder, a secret, a suicide, but they continue to lean on each other.

Alexander's king in more ways than one. He doesn't think he deserves her, but she knows he is all that she will ever need. Alexander saw Sarah Jane the first time and knew she was it for him, but that didn't stop him from trying to push her away.

Beyond amazing story from the moment you start the read. Alexander and Sara Jane have a story that will put you through every emotion possible. I was happy, I was sad, I was torn, I felt their love and pain. S.L. Scott has once again flipped me in ways and I love her that much more for it! I was a voluntary ARC reader of this book. OMG!! This book was amazing. Loved Sara Jane and Alexander. The way they love each other and the struggles the face had me on the can edge of me seat. I couldn't put his book down. So freaked out that I have to wait for the second book. The writing is amazing and this story will yank you in from the first few lines. DAMNNNNNN. Woman you rocked that shit. I freaking loved it. Perfect combination of dark and light. So different then anything SL Scott has written. She taped into her darkside for this one.
