I really love this series. I enjoyed this particular book even more as an adult than I did as a child. I pick up on a lot more of the humor now which is always fun. It's incredible how easily Snicket is able to describe the Baudelaire children. He really makes all three of the children relatable despite their misfortunes, so much so that readers begin to take a heightened interest in the children. I loved it! It was a very good book. Lemony Snicket is a good writer. I wondered why there wasn't much Count Olaf. Then I saw how it all came together at the end. But Mr. Poe spends all his time saying things to Count Olaf, that he spends his time talking which is taking time to actually capture Count Olaf.

This book wasn't so good... Because Count Olaf didn't do anything, and there wasn't any really exiting parts were you just couln't stop reading...
