Am I the only one who finds it concerning that Rashad's attack is literally just used as the basis for Quinn's "character development?" In quotations, because I don't really consider going from "selfish and uninvolved" to "selfish and suddenly involved" really counts as meaningful development. Quinn's point of view is just so limited. He's only concerned with himself and how things affect him. He's not really involved with anything that's actually happening in the story. A socially relevant story for teens. Great read! I'm proud of Quinn! As a white woman I felt the same urgency he did, and I participated in multiple #blacklivesmatter marches this summer.
