Strong writing, and super original take on the Apocalypse. The bit around the kids was a bit too idyllic and flat for my taste, and clearly acted as an instrument towards the finale. Just a shame it was that obvious there and then, sticking out like a sore-thumb when pretty much everything else comes out fresh and original.
I guess I missed something here but I just didn't see it.

I think there is a bit too much hype surrounding this book. It's a fun story, but it's not fantastic. I think the pacing of the story is a bit inconsistent and throws things off a bit.

I wanted to like it, and I really like Pratchett and Gaiman as authors, but it was pretty slow in the middle, and seemed unfocused at times.
Still it was a decent book and I enjoyed the beginning and ending.
