Hi everyone,
I wanted to share something personal. I’ve been closeted for a long time, always hiding who I am and carrying that weight like a burden. Recently, I read The Fives’ Oath – Legacy of the Bloodborn, and it completely shook me.
For the first time in a fantasy story, I felt truly seen. The characters’ struggles with identity, shame, and love spoke to parts of me I’ve never dared to face. It didn’t feel tokenized or forced, it felt real. And it gave me this strange, unexpected gift. I’m starting to look at myself differently.
I never thought a book could do that.
So, I’m curious: Have you ever read a book that helped you realize something about yourself, or gave you courage to accept who you are?
