This transgender romance was cute, sexy, funny, and even a little sad at times, but the cover is horrible. I was able to enjoy this story once I forgot that the creepy-looking picture of Val reminds me of Louie from Taxi.

Even though Kendra thinks true love is just a fairy tale, she is not immune to the looks and charms of Valerian Dominick Riche, the school’s new principal. What a name!

I gave it two stars for being funny, and for making me have to look up terms in order to understand big chunks of the story. Googling "gaff" and "Girl Talk" was helpful and widened a door I'd been peeking through for a while now.

I expected a trashy romance novel. It's why I bought it. But I didn't expect the break-neck pace, the scene-jumping whiplash, and the eye-rolling silliness of emotions and situations. But it made me smile. ...more
