I just taught this book to a gender class, and I loved it. One of my favorite feminist author moves (especially in science fiction) is when they completely flip a very common fiction scene or trope on it's head. Jael's sex scene is mindblowing for that very reason. I can't recommend this novel highly enough. ...more
