What Members Thought

Wow. This is going to take some thought. Unraveling this tapestry novel could be a life long endeavor. There are even more levels of analysis than there are stories within the stories within this novel. Beautifully written, this is truly a novel for the ages and hopefully it will earn a long and well-earned place among the classics.

I tried to listen to Cloud Atlas on audio forever ago, and gave up almost immediately. Last week, I was desperate for a new audio and against my better judgement decided to give it another try, despite my complete distraction. I did better this time, though I am not sure if I did myself a disservice by trying to listen to it again. For one, I am utterly sure that I would not have made it through the center story without narration, as I would have been completely tripping over the dialect.
