A unique and beautiful narrative conveys this tale of the turn-of-the-century west. Told through the eyes of Shed, a young bisexual believed to be of Native American ancestry, this is ultimately a strong story of love and family. The author was previously unknown to me, but I am extremely pleased to have found his words.
This is probably the book that caused the most people to tell me how much they loved it when they saw me reading it, even total strangers. It was ok I guess, but the newage hippy spiritual themes running through it were too much for me.
