Im a decade late but this was a traumaticaly brillant read.
Although its fiction it is 100% based on the lives of real people and real children Subhanallah. 🥺
I haven't disaappeared into a book for 3 hours straight in a loooong time, and I haven't closed a book and sat in silence with my thoughts and realisations since Children of Blood and Bone.
Khosseini broke my heart a million times throughout the 340 pages, I felt physical pain within my chest more than once.😭
