I’m so proud to have completed my first James Baldwin work! I see that the hype withstands. The way he paints the story and the very difficult emotions inside the story is everything! I hope to learn more about his life from future readings.

I read this book years ago and it is on my read again list. Another book I had to read for school or college I remember it took me so time to get into but once I persevered I thoroughly enjoyed it.
