I loved this book so much! Seriously, it's one of my favorites! I think it was even better because I dove into this book without any knowledge what it was about, which made me pleasantly surprised!

I'm so in love with the characters! Penryn is such a badass! I think she's also really sweet because of how responsible she feels for her mother but mostly her sister. Wow. This book was just... wow. I loved it! It was creepy, funny, crazy, well-detailed, and just... wow. I really enjoyed reading this book. There were some parts that scared me a little. For example, it sort of frightened me when Penryn found her mother's scarpbook filled with stories of mothers who had gone insane or when Paige started chomping on the angel scientist to protect her sister. Her mother was kinda of creepy and I thought she had ate the family on the freeway, but then Raffe said Wow. This book was just... wow. I loved it! It was creepy, funny, crazy, well-detailed, and just... wow. I really enjoyed reading this book. There were some parts that scared me a little. For example, it sort of frightened me when Penryn found her mother's scarpbook filled with stories of mothers who had gone insane or when Paige started chomping on the angel scientist to protect her sister. Her mother was kinda of creepy and I thought she had ate the family on the freeway, but then Raffe said it had to be someone with a small mouth. That cancel my earlier guess. The mother had her moments though, like when she found Penyrn with Deedum and came out to hug her. The Dee and Dum twins were funny as well. When they asked Penryn to fight the other girl in the camp, I was giggling at their youthfulness. They were just kids, but they could be serious at time. The apocalypse had forced them to mature early like others.
The Penryn and Raffe moments were spot on. Raffe came off as mean sometimes, but he made up for it. Everytime Raffe told Penyrn to run, I would roll my eyes and made suppressed laugh sounds. We all knew Penyrn wouldn't run. When they kissed and then Raffe said he didn't like her, I mentally slapped myself in the head and groaned. Really? He doesn't like her, but it protects her everytime she is in danger and will hold her when she has nightmares. Soon after that though, I felt sympathy for Raffe. After all his work to get his wings back, someone has to come in and mess things up. He has wings now. They are just GIANTS BAT WINGS! No big deal. Well, at least he can fly.
Paige was a sweet girl in the beginning of the book. I liked that she was kind to the other handicapped kids and they were good friends. I guessed something would happened to her and she would be able to walk. I thought they might make her a human-eating human child, but only nephilims did that. In the end, she did turn out to be what I had originally thought. I don't know how Penyrn and her mother are going to take care of Paige. Maybe Paige will adopted to eating human food again or they might kill her because she can't control her hunger for human flesh. I guess I will have to read the next book to find out.

It's been a long time since I've read this book and it seems that I can't forget this book.

That is a real sign that I fell head over heels in love with this book, um, more like the whole trilogy.

I love everything about this book.

I am that friend that will hunt you down until you read this goddamn book and say this is nice.

Well, I have convinced of friends to read it. I am such a generous person to brought joy to their lives by forcing them to read it.
Too nice.
