I'm officially addicted to a new series! Now I just need to figure out what to do with myself until the next one comes out. When is that again?!

The book opens right where the last one left off, Penryn paralyzed in her mother's lap on their way back to the Resistance camp from the Aerie. I would like to thank Amazon Children's Publishing and NetGalley for providing me with an electronic copy of this book to read and honestly review. Some words come to mind when describing Penryn: strong, adaptable, capable, innovative, and intelligent. World After reads like a blockbuster action film, except that the main hero is a heroine who can win a fight in high heels and an evening dress. Compared to the brilliant first book of this series, the second book didn't knock my socks off as I had expected.
The first half of the book was too boring in my opinion. We follow Penryn and her family as they are part of Obi's resistance group but that's about it. Nothing really happens. After the action filled first part, this was a let down and I struggled to remain interested. I did love the parts though where Raffe's sword showed her memories of him, it gave a little inside to this mysteri ...more
