This was my favorite romance novel of all time!

I only bought this book because I fell in love with the movie (though in the beginning I actually didn't know that it was only based on a book and I was really surprised after I found a copy at a local bookstore...) and this was the first book that I bought falling into romance genre. After watching the movie adaptation of this book,I fell in love with Nicholas Sparks' writings. This is the story of Jamie Sullivan(the quiet,preacher's daughter) and Landon Carter(the rebel). Through out this story, this unlikely duo are forced to work together, but somehow get more than they bargained for. This was a very good book, however also very sad.

I've seen the movie and I was very surprised that it did not follow the book at all. Yes, the story line was basically the same but everything else was different.

All in all, this was a very good book. This is the second Nicholas Sparks book I've read and I have plans to read more in the future!

This is a good read. I love the movie, and the book is pretty good too which is surprising as I've can never like the book and movie at the same time - it's either one or the other. I really love the main characters - you can feel the sadness towards the end of the book. ...more
