I have loved Jamie and Landon's love story ever since I first read it years ago.
It isn't different now, but I do notice some details I hadn't before.
Jamie Sullivan was an inspiration for me, all the way back to my younger self, because she was just such a sweet girl and I wanted to be someone like her, who could make a difference even if just with a few gestures and time.
Their love is so sweet and so kind, and the setting in the 1950's just makes it perfect!
Nicholas Sparks isn't my favorite

This was a compelling novel about a guy named landon and a girl named Jamie. It portrays how people can have life so easy, with out a care in the world and have it change in a matter of seconds. In the story Landon was the prepy type popular kid who begins to fall in love with the more quiet, unsocial preacher's daughter Jamie. She begins to show him that this is more to life than what people think. As the time passes, Landon falls in love with Jamie and would do anything under the son for her. ...more

My favorite movie of all! I love Jamie she was such a strong christian who truely believed in her faith and didn't care if she was the popular girl. The ultimate love story. Landon was her hero in the end! ...more

What can I say, after watching the movies years ago (back when I was in high school which was about 8-9 years ago) I finally was able to read the book and of course, Sparks made me cry. Beautifully written but very short. Took me a few hours (about 2.5) to read it in total.

And I have to say, how he describes what "A Walk To Remember" actually is in the book, wow did the tears start flowing. Yes, the man knows how to write books about love!
