So I've read all of Nicholas Sparks books from his very first and his new release this year. I never knew much about him or how he comes up with the story line for each of his books. Well I just found out! Not only do you read about the three weeks Nicholas spent with Micah, you read about what life was like for them growing up. And about his parents, and sister. Recently, I finished listening to Three Weeks with my Brother by Nicholas Sparks (book on CD). This is the only non-fiction book he's ever written, so obviously its quite different than most of his novels. It's pretty much a biography. It's written switching back and forth between the past (going through his life) and the "present" (the three week trip with his brother). At first I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy it, but I really did. I have read just about all of Nicholas Sparks' books. When I picked up this book I couldn't wait to read it.
This book gave me a different perspective about Nicholas "the author". He went into detail about his past and about the trip that he took with his brother. It was great to read about the adventures they went on and the closeness of their relationship.
