In his role as Chief Running Ambassador for Runners' World, Yasso often gave slideshows prior to the runs he attended. He was frequently asked about his book, which he didn't have. This is the book that came out of those slideshows. It's about a decade old and some of these stories came up in Runner's World Race Everything: How to Conquer Any Race at Any Distance in Any Environment and Have Fun Doing It as well as in his retirement tour, but it was still a really good read. I met Bart at the Chicago marathon expo and walked away thinking that he was the nicest, most normal person in the running world. Until I read this book, I had no idea that he was also so adventurous! He's done it all and then some. This book chronicles his adventures, and it's a great read. I guess I'm not so adventurous--but it sure was fun to read about everything he's done! ...more
