The is a book about the Whitshank Family of Baltimore. You begin with the current generation – Red and Abby and their four grown children, and go back a ways to Red’s dad and mother (Junior and Linnie May) and the generation before that. And the plot is a simple one – how this family grows and how relationships develop and change over the years. Nothing out of the ordinary.
