Shelves: series, ya-fantasy

i'm loving this series so much! my only complaint is... can we get another descriptor word for Jace besides "gold" in its many forms? its so repetitive. I've started imagining him as literally dipped in gold because that's the only way it makes sense.

SUCH GREAT ACTION THOUGH! i do have to say, i wish there was more time in the book. everything happens right after another, it all takes place in like 2 days or something, and i just felt like can't everyone take a breather?

I definitely liked this more than City of Bones. I loved getting more information about the Shadowhunter world and I connected with the characters a lot more in this book. Clary, Jace, Isabelle, Alec, and Simon all have very distinct personalities which makes their group dynamic fantastic. I did want to yell at them for making really dumb decisions though. I love books that make me feel something, whether it be love for the characters, the anger over an injustice, joy for a heartwarming tale. Shoot, I have even hate read books being too drawn in to put the book down. This book accomplished something new, I felt so awkward!
