im convinced the city of fallen angels is a pity book that cass wrote in apology for simon's irrelevance. yes yes simon is very underrated etc etc but COME ON we weren't THAT desperate for simon content we wanted a character arc not a whole book about his messed up love life!!!
All in all this book is completely unneccessary. I could've skipped this entire book and still understood the rest of the series. The first actually important event that happened in this book was on pg. 324.
