So this book had A TON of Simon, which was great because he's awesome. That being said, other characters were definitely not as present. Alec and Magnus didn't show up until halfway through the book. Jocelyn and Luke are getting married but they're hardly in the book. We got A TON of Jordan too. Yeah he's a new character and he had a lot to do with Simon's storyline but still I wish the original characters had more to do. City of Fallen Angels is the fourth book in the mortal instrument series by Cassandra Clare. I read the first three books in the series a long time ago, and I thought it was time to finish the series.

Nothing really exciting happens in this one but still, it was enjoyable, even just to get more from the shadowhunter world.

I enjoyed this book, it was entertaining and although it was slow at points I enjoyed reading and learning more about what was happening with the characters. Admittedly it wasn't my favourite of the series so far, but the ending is setting up for an epic conclusion to the series.
