Shelves: series, ya-fantasy

i'm loving this series so much! my only complaint is... can we get another descriptor word for Jace besides "gold" in its many forms? its so repetitive. I've started imagining him as literally dipped in gold because that's the only way it makes sense.

SUCH GREAT ACTION THOUGH! i do have to say, i wish there was more time in the book. everything happens right after another, it all takes place in like 2 days or something, and i just felt like can't everyone take a breather?

Shelves: read-in-2015, read-ya-fantasy

I definitely liked this more than City of Bones. I loved getting more information about the Shadowhunter world and I connected with the characters a lot more in this book. Clary, Jace, Isabelle, Alec, and Simon all have very distinct personalities which makes their group dynamic fantastic. I did want to yell at them for making really dumb decisions though. That was great, I just did not like Clary at times. She brought everything back to Jace and that was annoying at times. Then again she is only 16. I also loved the fact that Simon died XD like twice-ish too. I just thought that was so funny.

I absolutely loved this book! It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time! It was exciting and breathtaking and just amazing! I can't wait to read the next book in the series!!!

*re-read in July 2015* so um I literally could't put this down, this series is incredible oh my gosh... after I finished the series the first time I thought this was my least favorite but it honestly can't be because it is so amazing like all of these books are just equal in amazingness because they are all perfect ...more
