This book was so amazing! Ahh, I can't believe this series is over and I finally finished it! I've been reading this series since 2012 when I was a Senior in High School so this series means a lot to me. This book was so wonderful! The ending was perfect and I loved seeing my favorite characters from The Infernal Devices in this book, that was incredible! I don't even have the words to describe how Im feeling right now. I waited one year for this book and it feels odd to have its story conclude, at least with these characters. The way Cassie makes me feel after a book of hers is just mind boggling. I cried so much during this book. It was too intense and honest to god I did not know what was going to happen. Cassandra Clare has done it again everyone, she's wrote an amazing book. When I received City of Heavenly Fire I was both terrified and ecstatic. I had been waiting over two years to receive this book and once I did I just tore right into it. Many tears were produced, both happy and heart broken ones.

The first thing that brought tears to my eyes was indeed the acknowledgments where Cassandra Clare thanks her readers for sticking with her throughout the emotional roller coaster and claiming she Cassandra Clare has done it again everyone, she's wrote an amazing book. When I received City of Heavenly Fire I was both terrified and ecstatic. I had been waiting over two years to receive this book and once I did I just tore right into it. Many tears were produced, both happy and heart broken ones.

The first thing that brought tears to my eyes was indeed the acknowledgments where Cassandra Clare thanks her readers for sticking with her throughout the emotional roller coaster and claiming she wouldn't trade us for all the glitter in Magnus's loft. This made me laugh and develop happy tears because Cassandra Clare is my author, she is an amazing writer, has helped me through many hard times in my life and her books open your eyes to magical places. I will never be able to express my gratitude enough to Cassandra Clare for all of her books and I cannot wait to enjoy the other emotional roller coasters she has planned for us.

I will not say what parts exactly made me cry just because I want to avoid spoilers but I will say I was not disappointed. She did a fairly well job of reminding you of past events and she made sure not to give to much information away about The Infernal Devices. There is a few places that if you havent read The Infernal Devices then you will probably be wondering what the heck she is talking about but more then anything it will probably just leave you wanting to read the trilogy. I honestly was expecting more deaths but the heart broken part, that I will not say, left me happy there wasn't so many. That part was just too many feels to handle.

I personally was not to fond of the ending but Hey! There has to be one right? I felt like it left me wondering and questioning the characters and her future books.

Overall I rate this book a 5 out 5. It is sad to say that the series we all know and love has come to an end." Ave atque val" The Mortal Instruments series you will forever hold a special place in my heart along with many others. Just remember everyone when a door closes a new one opens up and that new is The Dark Artifices.

A great final installment in this wonderful series. Loose ends were wrapped up and questions answered. I listened to this on audio and I liked the female narrator, but not the male. Maybe it's was because they had different accents and it was jarring going from one to the other. Glad I've wrapped up this series. ...more

**2014** Epicly painful, and yet beautiful. The perfect ending to the series.
Writing a great series is one thing, but finishing it off with equal parts hope, heartbreak and joy in a satisfying way is an achievement in its own right. These characters make me very happy.

I have been known to cry during the reading of a book. I have been known to shed a tear whilst watching a movie or tv show. However this book made me bawl.
Be warned.
