Delightful

I really enjoyed this story and this version of D&E. I found Darcy to be almost charmingly thick in the early part of the story. The only thing that could have improved the story is less Lady Catherine. Never let it be said that any P&P reimagining or sequel could benefit from more Lady Catherine - less always works for me!

P&P fans will enjoy this one.

More of a 4.5*

This is an enjoyable read with a good balance of humour and plot. I particularly like the way in which Elizabeth is written with the author capturing her wit and archness beautifully. The only negative for me was that I felt their book was 30 pages too long with a few points where it dragged a little. Overall though an excellent and enjoyable read.

I will say that the elopement and the outcome were fun in their ingenuity, but it is Joana, so as a treat to savor during this TBR challenge it was well enjoyed. I may not have appreciated that Darcy was a brooding...idiot for much of the tale, Joana showed him in his best of lights with his family and it was masterfully done, how Elizabeth got to glean the true measure of his character and see the man behind the ill-spoken/unsaid words. Thank you, Joana, for such a fun treat~
