I have read other books by this author and I hate to say it, but this was not one of my favorites. I didn't really feel the connection or any chemistry between Darcy and Elizabeth. It felt a little disjointed to me. Stories need some angst to have substance and a good plot, however, I feel that angst and suspense are kind of fragile things in that if you have too little, it's not as captivating, but if you have too much and pile it on too high, you start to lose interest. Another gem from Abigail Reynolds

What an amazing read this was - grabbing the readers attention from the very beginning and not dropping the pace for a moment. The emotions running through the story were well handled, with gentle humour throughout to lighten the tension when needed.

I heartily recommend this book.
