This book was okay, I've read better by this author. Elizabeth and Darcy are thrown together again a few months after Hunsford when both are invited to be the guest of the their respective friends who just happen to be secretly courting due to her family's disapproval. D & E are asked to serve as a means for the forbidden lovers to steal some time together. A bit far fetched- yes. Quite enjoyed this. It felt a bit different to other “Lizzy has connections” JAFFs. Two ongoing plots, one with original characters who are all going through lots of drama, and the second with ODC where Darcy takes the opportunity to be a more romantic suitor. There is a bit of angst caused by not-communicating plot line, a trope I find frustrating, but it resolves fairly quickly with Lizzy realising that she needs to communicate to get what she wants.
