This story ends at 82% on Kindle as we then are given a preview of An Unwavering Trust.

The tale of the earl's conquest is told to Elizabeth Darcy while she is in labor with her second child. Grandmamma Rebecca Matlock nee Fairchild relates how she met her husband, the Earl of Matlock. Some of the story is reminiscent of Darcy's and Elizabeth's story and all the more endearing for such.

Rebecca meets an unknown man as she slips and falls into the mud while practicing her dancing during a walk. He

I finished this book in a single sitting. It was wonderful and engaging and the characters were beautifully made. It’s a perfect prequel for one of the best Pride and Prejudice Variation novels out there but definitely stands on its own.

Prequel/Sequel to Unwavering trust

A highly engaging, funny, moving and romantic book.

Elizabeth was about to have her second child when grandma Rebecca, the dowager countess of Matlock tells her story to distract her from the pain.

I absolutely loved it!

a charming romance

A delightful short novella retelling the romance between Darcy’s grandparents. Charming language and narrative throughout paints a picture of a couple not unlike Darcy and Elizabeth themselves.
