DO you ever read a book, and you know from the very first page that it is going to be with you for the rest of your life? No matter how hard you will try to forget it will be with you. It Ends with Us though I thought would be entirely different will always be with me. Though the emotions I felt toward Ryle were the exact ones Lily had though out the entire book. This book taught me a lesson though it was an experience I wish was not such a big part in today's society it was still big enough to ...more

I still need some time to process this one. The first half was 2 stars, at best, but second half and author’s note saved it for me. I’ll be thinking about this one for a while.

In anticipation of the sequel to this one, I decided to reread it. I read it several years ago and it gutted me. Without going into too many details, this story cut me straight to the heart. I understand this book in ways I wish I didn't, but for me, Hoover really portrayed the thoughts, feelings, and confusion behind domestic violence. Writing this in 2024 but I remember after finishing this just not being that impressed and wondering what the hype about this was from? Going to try Verity, if I don’t like that then think I’m skipping CoHo ;)
