So I finally have gotten around to reading this classic that is so beloved by many and I have to say I did not love it.
I found the endless, gossipy conversations about wealth, social etiquette, and marriage to be vexing during the first half of the book. Before you come after me with pitchforks, I want to say I respect that this was how things were at the time and that’s fine, I just found it tedious.

I can't believe it, but I went through all of high school and college without ever having to read a Jane Austen book. Many of my friends count her as one of their favorite authors, so I decided it was time to read "Pride and Prejudice." At times it drove me crazy when the heroines wouldn't just tell the men they loved their true feelings, but overall it was a charming story that I will definitely re-read.
