Lily is dealt a crap hand with her husband then tragedy strikes and maybe that luck will change? We meet Gavin I'm hot as hell And English Edwards! They begin picking up the pieces but life has other ideas and so it begins. I was happy that this has an actual storyline and Lily finds her voice and I love how sarcastic it is. To say this is an unconventional love story is a gross understatement. There is a lot happening in this tale. The plot line is complex is some parts and very straight forward in others. There was actually a really nice balance between all of the drama and the unfolding relationship. Isabelle Richards kept me on my toes the whole time. Just when I thought I had something figured out, here comes another twist.

Isabelle Richards kept me on my toes the whole time. Just when I thought I had something figured out, here comes another twist.

When Fates Collide follows the story of Lily and Gavin. They meet under some of the most bizarre circumstances and are thrown together until part of the mess is sorted out. Lily was very likeable, even if her situation wasn't completely relateable. She had been put through the ringer by her husband and was left to clean up his mess. And what a mess it is! It is such a tangled web of lies, deceit and betrayal- the more that was revealed the more I disliked what a sleaze he was. Also caught in the cross hairs is Gavin. Fate threw them quite a bone when they ended up tangled in the same mess. What isn't there to like about Gavin? He is all the things a dream guy is made of- tall, smart, sexy, funny and he comes with an accent. I liked the calming presence he was to Lily. But I also liked his fiery temper, when he was upset about something everyone knew it.

I really liked the ease of their connection. Yes their lives were in disarray but they found solace and a safe place with the other. Their humor and banter was a nice break to all the intensity. But alas, Gavin has to return to his life in England. I loved that while Lily wanted to jump all over the chance she decided to stay and fight her way out the mess her husband had created. Yes, she wanted nothing more than to follow Gavin but she knew she needed to settle the past before she could have the future she wanted for herself. Lily wasn't on her own though when Gavin made his departure. She had the help and companionship of some friends. This crew of agents really added to the story, especially her new roommate, Max. Their relationship was very realistic and made me like her even more.

While Gavin is away, things really start to come at Lily. She is finally finding some footing in a career that she chose. But the threat isn't over. Someone is targeting her and no one can figure it out. I had an inkling early on who it could've been, and I was right. However, I wasn't expecting things to get as wild with that person as they did. When things finally came to a head I honestly had no clue how they would pan out. While the story is a complete, there is still so much left unsettled. I look forward to seeing where things go for Gavin and Lily from here. ...more

I virtually met Isabelle Richards at a facebook party where she gifted me this amazing book purely for my enjoyment. Seeing it was a 3 part series I figured I was in for 100 page book or so and its no different then every other triology out there.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I read this book. I had read the blurb and at first glimpse it seemed like woman meets man of dreams - lives happily ever after....
This is NOT the case at all.
Lily is an optimistic person, one who sees the glass half empty rather than half full. I am very much like her actually!!
Lily's life gets turned upside down thanks to her husband. Her life is at risk and everyone she knows too.

I was fortunate enough to win a copy of this book in a giveaway in the book group I belong too. The story-line for this book is very intriguing. I was hooked right from the start basically just on the story line and couldn't wait to see where the author was going to go with it. She did an amazing job introducing us to the characters. Wow! I received a copy of this book from the author after joining her Facebook group from another reader's recommendation. I'm so glad that I did!
Gavin and Lily are an interesting pair. She is a friggin magnet for disaster and he has a massive hero complex. They had huge potential for being annoying, but the writing is so fun that they aren't.

I received this book from the author for an honest review. It was a compelling work of art. As it is a work of fiction I could believe each and every character as real people. It was able to capture and hold my attention from the start.
Both Lily and Gavin have been brought together by a tragic turn of events. Strong intelligent characters but warm hearted as well. Funny, serious and good sense of keeping it real.

During this time of being kept under radar staying with Gavin they tend to lean on one another for support and comfort but things get heated between them and don't Absolutely AmAzInG!!

But the life her husband kept in the past brings danger and she's determined to show she's unaffected and afraid and nip this in the butt on her own and try to live a life how she wants.

I think throughout this book Gavin is more then willing to be with Lily no matter what and has a hard time understanding someone who has never had a good life handed to them. He's definitely intense and a very loyal and caring person and will do anything to make someone's life a little better but with Lily he wants the world for her as long as she's willing to take what he can give. He's willing to share his life with her and protect her no matter what.

Now Lily on the other hand has had a shitty life handed to her and hasn't had a good life handed to her and had to do everything on her own without money or titles to help her. When she met her husband things turned for the worst and never felt loved or cared for in the slightest but when this tragic accident happens to bring her and Gavin together she isn't willing to give Gavin what he wants till she finds herself again and earns everything she wants her own way even if her life is in danger and could get her killed.

Now I understand trying to find your own way but the things her husband was into was some pretty intense stuff that there is no way she can fight for on her own unless she gets help. And that's her problem throughout the book is that she won't take the help in a different light.

But in the end I was very happy with the outcome and I can't wait to read the second book!!! You did AmAzInG! :)
