This book is about a 10 year old boy who is stuck in WW2 and being a Jew. The main character, Yanek Gruener, has to learn how to live through 10 concentration camps without any help from anyone. He also has to decide if wants to survive by himself or help the people in the camps with him. The positives of the book were that it was very detailed about how the prisoners were treated and did a very good job on expressing the main characters emotions throughout the book.
