The History of the Philadelphia Phillies goes way back. The Phillies have lost more games and finished in last place more times than any other Major League Club. The club started in 1876 and had a losing season, but had some players throughout the years. Some of the player’s names were Grover Cleveland, Steve Carlton, and players today like Chase Utley and Ryan Howard. Finally the Phillies were World Series champions recently in the 2008 season.
