So I'm a little torn here. I enjoyed the book for the most part but wow is the culture depicted viewed with negative views towards women. Emphasis on virginity, women with power are condemned as demons, if you have sex with more then one man you have to wonder if you are a whore etc. That's before we get into a women's power being tied to her sexual pleasure which leads to women being castrated to deny them power.
